Nutritious movement

More is not better. Eliminate the “no pain, no gain” mentality.

At Hacienda del Sol we believe physical movement should be treated as a nutrient that feeds your freedom to move and melts away stress hormones. Activities that accomplish this is what we call nutritious movement. Nutritious movement is also about cultivating a deeper connection with your body and not just pushing as hard as you can so you can to burn more calories or get “better results”. The best results come when you use physical activity to melt stress hormones and gain pain free movement. You do this by going to your edge but not falling past it. You know you’ve gone past it when you are performing a physical activity purely using a stress hormone dump. This is experienced as a feeling of separation from your body or the infamous tunnel vision. The antidote for this is to always remain mindful of what you are doing. Nutritious movement conditions you that when you are experiencing a mind-body disconnection, you will slow down, reconnect, and then continue exploring your edge while never going over it. This guarantees you’ll be processing the stress hormones rather than adding to your daily stress load, and safely expanding your physical freedom.

Our primal yoga classes, reflect and recharge classes, and primal fitness classes, are all rich with nutritious movement.

Primal Yoga:

  • It moves dynamically between tensión and releasing, the Yang and the Yin.
  • Focus is on movement. 90 blissful minutes of dipping in and out into flow state.

Primal fitness:

  • High intensity training, rich in ranges of motion.
  • Primal fitness offers an antidote for the no pain, no gain mentality that inevitably leads to injury.
  • Engage in progressive body movement exercises that take you to your limit while still managing to strengthen your body-mind connection.

Reflect and recharge classes:

  • A collection of western and eastern Yin practices focused on activating the parasympathetic nervous system in unique ways, while teaching you the essential skill of processing the stress that has accumulated through out the day, therefore avoiding the eventual condition of chronic stress.
  • Social connection strengthens our immune function, helps us recover from disease faster and may even lengthen our life.
We designed Hacienda programs to allow for genuine connection and friendship building, while still giving you need the alone time you need to decompress, heal and reset your nervous system.
So who says you need to escape alone to achieve true wellness? Join us this summer with three friends and you’ll each receive the gift of 15% off your stay. 😘
  • To do this weekend:
Take a few moments to sit still and calm your thoughts.
Ask your body what it needs.
Do that. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Listen to your body. 💕 It knows what’s up. (Image credit unknown, message us if you know the creator)
  • To all the mommas out there, may your Mother’s Day weekend be everything you deserve and more. No matter what your weekend looks like, we hope you take some time to celebrate yourself, all that you do, and how far you’ve come. 💕
Psst... if you want to treat your mom (and/or yourself) this summer, nothing makes a better gift than being surrounded by nature, nourishing food, and amazing movement. At least that’s what we’ve heard 😉

  • Happy Sunday! Need healthy brunch ideas on this beautiful spring Sunday? Our keto pancakes here at the centre are still a fan favorite.
They have only have 1 net carb per pancake and are fluffy and so satisfying. You can drizzle them with monk fruit maple syrup by Lakanto for the authentic taste! These are topped with lakanto maple syrup and a spoon full of almond butter. The recipe is easy: 4 eggs, 4 tablespoons coconut flour, 1 tsp baking powder, 1 tblsp psyllium husk, 1 tblsp ground chia seeds, 1 tblsp vanilla, 2 cups unsweetened almond milk. Blend and make as regular pancakes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
