You will hike paradise, swim in salt water, sweat and bounce in thick mats. You will move in ways you’ve never moved before–you might cry a bit—then eat some of the most delicious and healthy food you’ve ever had while basking in the Blue Zone’s sun. You will leave feeling like you just shed your old stale skin, and what remains is a human being buzzing with liberated energy.
The program’s approach is simple: switch your metabolism from carb-burning to fat-burning, while awakening your body’s innate strength and rewiring your brain with new motor pathways. Easy.
Our approach to the ketogenic diet is strongly influenced by the work of Mark Sisson, creator of the primal movement. Every plate is a work of art with a full spectrum of colours. It is a menu created by foodies for foodies. It is a variation of our signature raw food and adds daily caught fish and superfood supplements to achieve nutritional balance and avoid some of the most common pitfalls in a ketogenic diet, like being too acidic, easy to dehydrate, and missing micronutrients. Among the many ways we keep you well hydrated, your PH low, and absorbing a healthy dosage of vitamins and minerals is with an abundance of lemon moringa, tumeric shots; aloe vera electrolyte bombs; avocado seaweed potassium and magnesium broths; and an ample supply of colorful food, rich in micronutrients, that spill out of our plates.

Going through the initial phase of a Ketogenic diet can be grueling for most people; however, going through it surrounded by lush jungle, untouched beaches, and a full carnival of raw wild life, can almost feel like cheating. Keto adaptation (switching from a carb-burning metabolism to a fat burning one) has many symptoms similar to drug withdrawal, which is exactly what sugar is. After the withdrawal symptoms have receded (called keto flu), it is a lot easier to continue eating like this when you get home. At the end, you will give your body back its instinctive ability to use the cleanest, most energy efficient fuel available: good ol’ fat. This is why you will not only lose weight, but you will also give your brain back the ability to think clearer, also known as keto clarity.
Our ketogenic diet is paired with our Primal fitness retreat, which is a powerful system for not only giving you an amazing fullbody workout, but also for rewiring your brain. Rewiring your brain is something overlooked by most fitness and weight loss programs. As your body composition changes, if your brain does not rewire to accommodate this new body mass with which you are now navigating space with, the result will be that even if you get to your ideal body composition, you will still feel fat.

Before signing up, check with your doctor if a ketogenic diet is safe for you, and if you can participate in intense bodyweight exercises.
We don’t recommend this retreat for people who follow a vegan lifestyle because although it’s possible to be vegan-keto, we find it too restrictive to recommend it as a lifestyle change.
A ketogenic diet is contraindicated for somebody with gallbladder problems (it’s possible to do it, but it needs to be done under medical supervision).
