COMFORT ZONE (A poem by Angela’s father)
I used to have a comfort zone – where i knew i could not fail.
The same four walls and busy work were really more like jail.
I longed so much to do the things – I’d never done before.
But, I stayed inside my comfort zone – and paced the same old floor.
I said it didnt’ matter – that I wasn’t doing much.
I said I didn’t care for things like LOVE AND FREEDOM – and such.
I claimed to be so busy – with the things inside my zone
But, deep inside – I longed – for some victory of my own.
I couldn’t let me life go by – just watching others win.
I took a deep breath – and stepped outside – to let the change begin.
I took a step – and with a strength, I’d never felt before
I kissed my COMFORT ZONE good – bye and closed and locked the door.
If you are in a COMFORT ZONE – afraid to venture out
Remember, all the winners, at one time were filled with doubt.
A step or two, and words of praise, can make your dreams come true
So, greet your future with a smile – FREEDOM is ther for YOU!
STEP OUT AND FLY
All my love forever,

“Sometimes your only available mode of transportation is a leap of faith”. – Margaret Shepard
“If we do not feel grateful for what we already have, what makes us think we’d be happy with more?”
“And then the day came, when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it too to blossom.”
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. As we let our light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
“Authenticity is a daily practice. Choosing authenticity means cultivating the courage to be imperfect. To set boundaries and allow ourselves to be vulnerable. Exercising the compassion that comes from knowing that we are all made of strength and struggle and connected to each other through a loving and resilient human spirit. Nurturing the connection and sense of belonging that can only happen when we let go of what we are supposed to be and embrace who we are. Authenticity demands wholehearted living and loving. Even when it’s hard – even when we are wrestling with shame and fear of not being good enough and especially when the joy is so intense that we are afraid to let ourselves feel it mindfully practicing authenticity during our most soul-searching struggles is how we invite grace, joy and gratitude into our lives. – Brene Brown”
