A delicious vegan recipe from the lovely Sammie Kennedy that will both tantalize your taste buds, AND treat your body well!  Sammie has been an inspiration to women across Canada and North America for years, running various bootcamps, fitness classes, and nutritional talks all across the country.  This certified fitness fanatic and culinary nutrition expert knows a thing or two about creating recipes that are both pleasing to the palate, and practical!  Enjoy!



Black Bean Chocolate Mousse!

  • 1/4 cup raw cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1.5 Tbsp dandy blend (optional)
  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 14 oz can of black beans
  • 3 Tbsp of coconut cream
  • 5 pitted dates soaked
  • 1/2 cup cashews soaked
  • Pinch of salt
  • Date soaking water as required to blend.

Place all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor. Process until a rich smooth consistency. Pass through a fine metal sieve using a spatula to remove any grittiness and incorporate extra air. Chill in the fridge.
