Loaded with good fats, potassium, anti-inflammatories, and electrolytes, this smoothie makes a great post-workout recovery shake. At Hacienda Del Sol we have fresh coconuts to crack open! If you live in a colder climate you might not have the luxury. To substitute the coconut water in this recipe use almond milk, or just water. Although you will be missing out on the electrolytes, the smoothie will still remain delicious and nutritious!
- 1 whole avocado (chopped)
- 2 frozen bananas
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (or stevia to taste)
- 1 cup fresh coconut water
Put the avocado it in a high-speed blender ~ preferably a vita-mix blender. Add the two frozen bananas, the honey or maple syrup, then the coconut water. Blend all the ingredients until rich, creamy and smooth!
